Comfortable chalet with well-equipped kitchen, good-sized bedroom, and sofa bed for our son. Electric "wood" heater in lounge, helpful and friendly staff. Good bush location near the lake.

Felt safe and secure, no complaints.

    Location, room

food was bad and they did not tell you when booking that you had to pay a national park entrance fee on top of the expensive room fee.....

Superb location. Truly beautiful setting. Start or end point for a range of walks through extra ordinary landscape and bush. Walks can be as short as 45 minutes return or 7 hours or one week, The Lake Cruise is not sufficiently advertised. In one and a half hours you can sail into an utterly magnificent landscape of mountains, plates cliffs, small bays ... and perhaps see wild platypus. Strongly recommend. The people are very friendly and eager to be helpful.

New cabins are being built intended t offer real comfort and luxury. Some of the design works well ... but there are still rough edges. The doors stick, the windows are difficult, the tap over the wash basin is elegant and utterly inefficient ... a mistake. A mistake with the right intention perhaps but still a mistake. Hopefully all of these little niggles will be fixed as the new cabins are commissioned and used.

Convenient location, spacious room, modern look, spa bath, helpful staff, wheelchair accessible.

Felt truly spoilt, no reason to complain.

I liked the way you can walk across the road to the lake. I believe the new units will be a better option than the caravan visitors as it will bring a new level of comfort and leisure to the park. It will be a new beginning then as walkers will not be the only consideration. Please, whatever you do be professional managers with all this and don't do the cheap option.

Beautiful studio room which was very clean. Great bathroom. Staff were very pleasant and helpful (problem with tv fixed very promptly). Spectacular scenery and nature walks.

Room lacking clothes hanging space....nowhere to hang wet coats or clothes. No cooking facilities....could use a microwave and toaster.

The accommodation was clean and the location was beautiful. The spa bath in the cabin was a great way to relax after a long day of walking. The privacy was also a plus, with no noise from neighboring cabins.

The steak was overcooked and the chicken was tasteless. The prices were high, especially considering the low quality of the meals.

The location is absolutely beautiful. There are a number of short (1hr to 1day) walks around the lakes and nearby mountains, so there was no need to carry a tent. I stayed in one of the cabins which was very new, a quite charming. My mini-balcony faced into the trees so I could spot quolls and possums in the evening. The staff were wonderfully helpful, both for the hotel and the adjacent visitor's centre. And Adrian, the skipper of the boat tour across the lake, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

The only minor downside was the restaurant, the food was a little pricey for what it was and there was no Tasmanian wine on offer. I would happily have paid a bit more for local wine, I felt it was a missed opportunity.

The setting was amazing - spectacular lakeside scenery and woodands setting. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy with an excellent heating system.

The reception was not welcoming. We booked for dinner and were very disappointed in the service, the poor selection of wines and the very poor quality of the food. We would never eat there again or recommend it to anyone we liked. We were concerned about reputation damage to Tamania for international and interstate visitors.

We recently stayed at this peaceful hotel for a few days after hiking up to Pine Valley. The rooms were cozy and noise-free, providing a perfect retreat. Situated right by the lake and close to the ferry departure point, the location was picturesque and convenient. We loved the delicious hot breakfast buffet served at the main lodge, and the on-site cafe/restaurant was excellent. Additionally, the hotel offered great walking trails and live entertainment by the talented guitarist G.B. Balding.

    Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The location is excellent, although not quite on the lakeside and, indeed, without a view of the lake. The setting is very tranquil, and the new lodges are quite well designed, warm and comfortable.

While the design is quite good, nothing is quite right - there is very little storage space (and none at all for wet clothes), there are no cooking facilities other than a kettle, there is no furniture on the deck, the restaurant is unexciting and the lodge overall is poor value for money. However, these and various other minor niggles would not stop us staying here again.

enjoyed our stay at the lodge, exceeded expectations with cozy rooms, delicious meals, and helpful staff. Had a great time exploring the walks and taking the ferry. A perfect retreat.

    Breakfast didn't include good coffee.

Not been informed of all the costs and the advertising was deceiving.

The room at Lake St Clair Lodge was lovely and warm upon arrival, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The cleanliness of the entire cabin was exceptional, making for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a welcoming experience. The peaceful location and scenic outlook added to the overall serenity of the lodge. Dining at the restaurant and cafe was a delightful experience with delicious meals served. I can't wait to return for my next stay.

I did find one drawback during my stay. There was a delay in receiving my wife's main course at the restaurant, resulting in a waiting time of over an hour.

We got great value for our money at the Lodge. The room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the National Park's visitor center and beautiful trailheads. The staff were helpful and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Hotel breakfast could use a little improvement, maybe adding more variety to the menu.
